Scene of the last stand of the infamous Easter Rising of 1916. After which many Irish revolutionaries were captured, imprisoned and executed at the Kilmainham Goal also a very interesting place to visit. The prison was in use from 1780 - 1920 and you can discover some very good history of Irish politics and life in 18th century Ireland in this ancient Goal/Jail.
There are also many bus and day tours in and around Dublin, explore Dublin our Viking world, our Heritage sites, our museums and of course Arthur Guinness, visit the home of the "black stuff" in the Guinness Storehouse.
